For this project, I chose to go with my Futuristic Couture concept. My goal was to kept the theme digital, so I stuck with the silvers, black and blues portrayed in my mood board. I wanted to create a piece that viewers would have no doubt that the subject was fashion, so I chose to use a bold, metal looking shoe. I didn't want to use a model wearing the clothing style, because the ad could be mistaken for a hair salon or makeup company. I attempted to transform the water from the puddle into pixels, to represent technology. The font looked like it suited the theme beautifully, and reminded me of metal, a computer, and space. Originally, the background was in vibrant color (orange and blue), but it looked too busy, and took away from the focus of the shoe, which is the visual hierarchy in the photo. I kept whitespace in mind, and honored margin rules, as well as symmetry. I played a lot with layers and effects to create a surreal environment.
